Van Alena Lazareva kreeg ik onder andere het mooie Rainbow Coloring book toegestuurd voor een review. Ik had haar platen al eerder voorbij zien komen op diverse social media kanalen en was erg benieuwd naar haar boeken. Het is een behoorlijk boek, A4 formaat met softcover. Met het er doorheen bladeren zag ik erg veel verschillende soorten platen staan. Maar dat staat ook al aangegeven op de kaft. Een grote diversiteit van platen. Het boek begint met 36 nieuwe platen van haar gevolgd door nog een tiental bonus platen uit eerder verschenen boeken. Nu heb ik altijd geroepen Greyscale kleuren is niet mijn ding, maar... daar kom ik op terug! Haar bonusplaten zijn Greyscale en in een woord WOW! Echt waanzinnig mooi en ik ben helemaal om. Als eerste koos ik om een line art plaat te doen met Polychromos potloden.
Alena Lazareva, among another book, sent me the beautiful Rainbow Coloring book for a review. I had seen her books on various social media channels before and was very curious about her work.
It is a decent book, A4 format with soft cover. With the watching in it I saw many different types of coloring pages. But that is also indicated on the cover. A wide diversity of coloring plates.
The book starts with 36 new ones of her followed by a dozen bonus coloringpages from previously published books. Now I've always said Greyscale colors is not my thing, but ... I'll come back to that! Her bonus pages are Greyscale and in a word WOW! Really amazingly beautiful and I am completely turned over.
First I chose to do a line art album with Polychromos pencils.
Ik koos voor de 2 flamingo's en had ook meteen in mijn hoofd zitten hoe het moest worden. De Polychromos potloden doen het erg fijn op dit papier.
Na deze plaat heb ik voor de plaat met de orchideeën gekozen.
I chose for the 2 flamingos and immediately had my mind on how it should be. The Polychromos pencils work very well on this paper.
After this album I chose the album with the orchids.
De achtergrond heb ik gedaan met Distress Oxides en de bloem zelf heb ik gekleurd met Polychromos en Posca pens. Bij deze plaat ben ik erg tevreden over het resultaat.
Alena heeft inmiddels al aardig wat boeken uitgebracht, zowel Line Art als Greyscale. In diverse thema's, dus voor ieders wat wils.

I did the background with Distress Oxides and colored the flower itself with Polychromos and Posca pens. I am very satisfied with the result of this page.
